Wainscott sits along the stretch between East Hampton and Bridgehampton — smaller and quieter than either neighbor, with a mix of older properties near what was once open farmland and newer homes built in more recent years. It's also home to East Hampton Airport, which sits alongside the hamlet's otherwise low-key, residential character.
